Making money with your diet and fitness blog - Google Adsense

AdsenseMorning!

Have you ever visited a blog and see those cute little Ads by Google on them?

The good news for those happy blog owners is, when such ads are clicked, they get money.  Joy!

The bad news for those unhappy blog owners is, the diet/fitness niche doesn’t really deliver a whole big huge sweeping amount of moola.  Mesothelioma, now, that’s huge, as is DWI driving in Texas ads….but diet and fitness?  Nope, not by a long shot.  Still, you WILL get targeted diet/fitness ads on your blog; Google does all the work in selecting them for you.

Still, though, I can probably tell you this until the cows come home, but after hearing from others online how Adsense Made Them Rich, you’ll still want to try it for yourself.   And I do truly understand - I was the same way when starting out.

So!  First off, you need a Google Adsense account; it’s free!

The main thing to remember is you’ll be given an Adsense Publisher ID number that looks something like:

pub-3222222222222222

This is key for several reasons…the main one being, you’re going to need it when you include Adsense in your blog.

What’s that I hear you think?

"How can I include Adsense in my blogs?"

Glad you asked!  There are several ways of accomplishing this, including:

1.)  Made-for-adsense Wordpress Templates

You can cut straight to the chase by using a Wordpress template that ALREADY has adsense embedded into it - all you have to do is change the publisher ID to reflect your own.  Adsense templates can be found:

Next, you can consider

2.)  Adsense Wordpress Plugins

These Wordpress plugins allow you to add Adsense without having to change your Wordpress themes.

3.)  Adsense Blogger

Is your blog hosted on Blogger.com instead?  As they’re Google proper, they make it very easy for you to include Google Adsense - you can find the instructions over at

Personally speaking, I myself don’t really use Google Adsense - I much prefer the profits delivered by eBay, Amazon and other places. I’ll be sure to write about those soon.

ThankYouVeryMuch!
